 13. 동명사의 능동과 수동

▶ Point
동명사의 의미상의 주어가 주절의 주어와 다른  경우 원칙적으로 소유격으로 표현한다. 이때 동명사는 능동일 때에는 -ing 형태, 수동일 때에는 being+p.p.의 형태를 사용한다.

▶ Practice
․ After [signing / being signed], the invoice was handed over to the agent.

․ Each term he and I vied for the best grades in our class. Most often he bested me, but instead of [disappointing / being disappointed] I was pleased that we shared top places between us.

․ I remembered the thoughtless saying of a princess, who, on [informing / being informed] that the country people had no bread, replied, "let them eat cake."
