2. 주어가 길어질때: 관계사절 Point: 형용사절인 관계사절은 주절의 동사의 수에 영향을 끼치지 않는다. 관계사절 전체를 없는 것으로 문장을 보면 쉽게 파악된다. 선행사(wh- ~)동사 ~ = 동사의 형태는 선행사(명사)에 의해 결정된다. 선행사(wh- 동사 ~) = 주격 관계사절의 동사는 선행사(명사)와 일치되어야 한다. 선행사에 일치되는 동사가 바로 옆에 있지 않고 멀리 떨어져 있어서 주의깊게 보아야 한다. ▶ Practice ․ The sensitivity of some people to substances that are quite harmless to most other people [is / are] called an allergy. ․ Machines that receive their input energy from a natural source like air currents, moving water, and petroleum and transform it into mechanical energy, [are / is] known as prime movers. ․ You viewed language as a tool which people adapt to various situations.
